BIOCORE projects at Coventry University

The Biomedical Computing and Engineering Technologies project was initiated by Coventry University in collaboration with a variety of external organisations. A number of advances in healthcare technology have been made throughout the project, such as the development of a multimedia system for breast awareness (in collaboration with University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, and WMG, University of Warwick) and the use of data to establish the incidence of disease recurrence and/or progression in different stages of bladder cancer (in collaboration with Nephrology and Urology Centre, Mansoura, Egypt). Based within Computer Science, this project highlights the importance of collaboration between departments and different research specialties to improve various aspects of healthcare technology.
